Marigot Bay dining make people remember this
From upmarket, fine dining restaurants to roadside barbeques, every taste and budget is catered for. There is Indian, Chinese, Italian and French food as well as plenty of spicy local Creole cooking. Fish straight from the sea is served with island grown vegetables, herbs and spices and, of course, exotic tropical fruit. However you like to spend your evenings, you’ll have plenty of choice. Many of the bars and clubs have live music and you can relax in any style you like. Hundreds of tiny rum shops, elegant cocktail bars, informal beach bars and sunset cruises with drinks and hors d’oevres encourage you to chill out, make new friends and live life at a slower pace for a while. And Marigot Bay is no exception. Dotted around the bay are lively restaurants and bars offering everything from haute cuisine to casual tropical tastes. There’s Chateau Mygo, The Shack, JJ’s Paradise, Rainforest Hideaway and Doolittle’s restaurant for menus with plenty of local flair while the Discovery resort provides a range of dining options at The Boudreau, the Coffee Dock and at The Marina Village with its The Baguet Shop and the restaurant and bar. If you still have some energy after a day in the sun, you can dance the night away at one of the clubs in Rodney Bay. The Boudreau Restaurant – Named after Walter Boudreau, the legendary schooner captain who sailed into Marigot Bay and built the first hotel fifty years ago, the elegant restaurant showcases Boudreau memorabilia and historical pictures. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, you may start your day in a relaxed, casual setting overlooking the bay and enjoy the more formal, colonial setting in the evenings. The Coffee Dock – A European-style coffee shop, serving breakfasts, all-day snacks, sandwiches and, of course, wonderful coffee. Outdoor seating with umbrellas around the dinghy dock on the edge of the inner bay. Hurricane Hole Bar – Experience the original bar, famous among yachtsmen worldwide, with a panoramic view of the bay. The bar has been restored to its former glory with its original lighting and signage. Pink Snail Bar – A chic cocktail bar, themed around the original "Dr. Dolittle" movie, which was filmed right here 40 years ago. Pink Snail features a pink glass and resin bar, with lighting by renowned designer Sharon Marston and cutting edge, big city design. This is the place to be seen in St. Lucia! The Bakery – Our own bakery, producing a wide range of bread and pastries all day with an ice cream parlour and patisserie, in the pretty Marina Village courtyard garden. Just outside the hotel, dotted around the bay, are a number of lively local cafes and bars.
